The mortgage industry has expressed concerns that the government’s mortgage qualification restrictions will eliminate many potential buyers, especially first-time homebuyers. In response, Churchill Mortgage created a new position, recruiting compliance expert Seth Trimble as its new, full-time compliance trainer.
In his role, Trimble will lead the implementation of a compliance-related, cross-functional communications platform focused on training and regulation. He will provide compliance training to all staff and develop comprehensive presentations for the lender. Trimble will also conduct on-site branch visits to ensure compliance-related measures are enforced and maintained across the entire organization.
Trimble is a licensed originator in five states. Prior to joining Churchill Mortgage, he served as a loan processor with Nationstar Mortgage. Trimble graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
“Regulatory compliance continues to be a priority in our industry,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage. “By creating a new position dedicated to compliance, we’re taking the right steps towards streamlining communication. We look forward to having Seth – his industry experience will be a significant asset to our team.”
