Lender Looks To Streamline Closings

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing wholesale lenders, has announced the release of UClose, an industry-leading tool that will allow mortgage brokers to close their loans within an hour of receiving their clear to close.

This exclusive online tool will revolutionize the way brokers and correspondents close loans, as they will be taking control of the closing process, generating closing documents and scheduling the closing directly with their title company.

“UClose will give brokers complete control over the closing process, enabling them to take borrowers from clear-to-close to closing in just six clicks,” said Mat Ishbia, president and CEO of United Wholesale Mortgage. “It’s very important for realtors and borrowers to get to the closing table as quickly as possible, especially in a purchase market. We’ve created UClose so our brokers can get their clients to the closing table faster and more efficient than any other lender, and will always be the top choice of realtors.”

UClose was built strategically to comply with the upcoming TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule (TRID), offering an even stronger advantage for brokers and correspondents when TRID goes into effect in October.

Recognized for its efforts, UWM was awarded the 2014 Online Originator Award by Mortgage Technology magazine. The launch of UClose continues UWM’s consistent push to deliver innovative, value-added technology to its partners.  This latest tool follows the January release of UWM’s custom loan origination system, EASE (Easiest Application System Ever), and the enhancement of UTrack, which enables brokers and correspondents to provide borrowers and real estate agents with real-time access to track their purchase and refinance loans from submission through closing.

“UWM is committed to developing cutting-edge technology to make the loan closing process faster, easier and more efficient for brokers and correspondents,” Ishbia said.

Lender Takes Mobile Tech Further

Mobile technology is here to stay. And smart lenders are using this technology to grow their business. For example, United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), the nation’s largest wholesale lender, announced that it developed and launched a proprietary mobile application for its broker community. The application arms brokers with robust functionality and easy access to loan information while in the field.

“UWM’s new mobile application keeps our brokers in the know at all times by providing them with direct access to much of the functionality that exists within EASE (Easiest Application System Ever), which is our broker portal,” stated Mat Ishbia, President of UWM.  “The use of technology and constant innovation are key components in how we make our brokers’ jobs easier.  This mobile app is one of many exclusive tools that UWM has unveiled as a commitment to partnering with our clients.”

UWM’s mobile application allows brokers to easily access rates, manage their pipelines, view borrower and loan details, check real-time status, receive alerts, manage conditions, lock loans and more. The real-time bi-directional communication the application provides between UWM’s underwriters, processors and account executives establishes increased transparency and shows any tasks that must be completed in order to expeditiously fund the loan.

The free app is available for both iPhones and DROIDS.

Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) underwrites and provides closing documentation for residential mortgage loans originated by mortgage brokers, banks, credit unions and correspondents.

Attracting More Broker Business

*Attracting More Broker Business*
**By Tony Garritano**

TonyG***How do you get more business in this market? Well, getting new business in any market takes a bit of creativity. For example, United Wholesale Mortgage has made available a free service designed to generate more business for its brokers. The service, dubbed UWM Connect, monitors borrower credit pulls for activity to funnel potential leads back to brokers that have previously completed deals with them.

****“Simply put, we designed UWM Connect to reunite borrowers back with originators that have done deals with them before through UWM in an effort of good faith to give back more business to our brokers,” said Mat Ishbia, president of UWM. “Some lenders will take leads for themselves when a potential repeat borrower is in the market, axing the broker that originally worked the deal. That is not how UWM conducts business. We have created UWM Connect to further demonstrate that we’re a true partner to our brokers, and we always have their best interest and success in mind.”

****UWM Connect incudes:

****>> Monitors past clients for any mortgage credit pulls performed

****>> UWM account executives alert their brokers of the credit pulls so they can proactively contact the borrower to rekindle relationships

****>> UWM also provides the broker’s contact information to the borrower and redirects them directly back to the broker

****>> UWM Connect is provided free to brokers that are signed up with UWM

****Ishbia added: “UWM operates with ethics of the highest standard, the best quality, second-to-none service and an intensely-focused commitment to our broker community. We continue to launch innovative tools, free services, creative products and various types of assistance to our brokers with the objective of making their jobs easier and them more successful. UWM Connect is another offering that exemplifies our extreme support and partnership with brokers.”
